Autistic Adults Peer Support

Staffordshire Adult Autistic Society

Peer support for adults with Autism, run by autistics for autistics. Providing information, friendship and support.

Self-diagnosed and people waiting for diagnoses are welcome.

Our support includes:

  • Support to ASC individuals aged 16 and over, either pre-diagnosis, formally diagnosed or self-diagnosed.
  • Weekly socials that are ASC friendly for autistic individuals to come along, so that they can socialise comfortably without having to ‘mask’.
  • Online social groups with a variety of topics and interests.
  • Guidance to workplaces who either have autistic employees or have clients who are autistic. This can be done through various mediums, such as information packs or a talk in the workplace for example.
  • Support to parents and families of people with ASC.
  • We offer Peer Support to individuals to help them understand their autism and access the community.
  • We have a library with books on Autism, including topics such as independent living, life skills, education, social care, mental health, and challenging behaviour. For more information please call or visit our head office.
