The calm, rural environment supports participants in developing confidence, independence, and practical life skills. The programme offers a wide range of engaging opportunities, including:
• Animal care – supporting the wellbeing of individuals while developing routines, responsibility, and empathy
• Gardening and growing produce – each participant has their own growing area, learning how to grow fruit and vegetables from seed to harvest
• Healthy eating and cooking – using home-grown produce in food preparation, promoting independence and healthy lifestyle choices
• Nature-based learning – developing mindfulness, awareness of the natural world, and environmental responsibility
• Conservation and sustainability – helping to grow wildflowers, supporting pollinators, and contributing to the creation of an orchard and relaxation area to further enhance the
• Development of independent living skills – focusing on everyday tasks, problem-solving, and decision-making in preparation for adulthood
• Community access and engagement – supporting individuals to take part in local life and encouraging active citizenship
